La Villa Strangiato by Rush. This band is my favorite band of all time. I religiously follow this band, and. Alex Lifeson is one of the greatest guitarist of this century.He plays a guitar solo in La Villa Strangiato, and I'm not exaggerating this by any means, but the solo was in my opinion, so well played, that Stairway to Heaven literally seems like childs play in front of it. I'm not being biased, this is completely a neutral way of looking at it. Even the studio version has the solo starting at about 3:40 into the song. This song is a 10minute wonder with many mood changes and changes in time signatures. The band plays it live in one go, but the studio version had to be broken down into three parts. Like Stairway to Heaven, this band,let alone the song never got any recognition, but a devoted fan like me would not let this guitar solo go by unnoticed by other people out there. I suggest you youtube it or download it or whatever, but you have to check it out.
